This original US Coast & Geodetic Survey Navigational Chart of “Hudson & East Rivers” was scanned from the original plate in high resolution by archivists at the National Oceanographic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). Produced to aid navigation for vessels in New York Harbor in 1941, the print features detailed bathymetric readings and a unique historical perspective of Manhattan’s former coastlines.
The map’s rich black is reproduced beautifully in this museum-quality print on thick, durable, matte paper. The map is printed sweatshop free in America on archival, acid-free paper.
